A bluffing game built on weird-but-true facts. The board shows a real fact with a word missing (“A group of flamingos is called a ___”). Everyone writes a fake answer convincing enough to fool the class, then all the fakes and the real answer go up, shuffled and anonymous, and everyone votes for the one they think is true. Points for finding the truth and for every classmate who falls for your fake. The reveal goes fake by fake, then the truth. Teachers can type their own questions, which turns it into review: students invent wrong answers, then have to recognize the right one.

What students learn
- ✓Writing something believable: tone, detail and confidence
- ✓Spotting what's real among convincing fakes (a big media-literacy skill)
- ✓Surprising facts about animals, science, history, words and money
- ✓Any subject you choose: add your own questions for review
How it works

- 4Everyone votes for the one they think is true.
- 5Points for finding the truth and for every classmate fooled by your fake. The reveal goes fake by fake, then the truth.
A 30-minute lesson plan
Pick a category, or type your own questions from the current unit.
Play 5 to 8 questions (about 15 minutes).
Ask the student whose fake fooled the most people what made it believable.
Discussion questions
- What makes a fake answer believable?
- How did you decide which answer was real?
- Where else do you have to tell real information from convincing fakes?
Teacher tips
- Use your own questions for review: students have to invent wrong answers, then recognize the right one.
- Answers appear blurred on your screen while students type, so you can check them before they're shown.
Questions teachers ask
Can students type anything they want?+
Every answer goes through a classroom filter, answers are blurred for you to check before the reveal, and you can hide any answer or remove any player.
Can I write my own questions?+
Yes. Type a fact with a blank and the real answer, and the game handles the rest.
