Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

Zeyoa (zeyoa.com) is a set of classroom games operated by Blue Internet Ventures ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do. It is written to be read by teachers, parents and school administrators.

The short version

  • Students don't have accounts. They join with a code and a first name. Nothing about a student is saved after a game ends.
  • We never sell data, show ads, or use any information for advertising or profiling.
  • No analytics or tracking tools. The only cookie keeps teachers logged in.
  • Teachers give us a name, email and school so we can run their account and billing. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.

Students

Students play without signing up. To join a game they enter the game code and a name. While a game is running we hold, in server memory only:

This information is shown on the class screen and the student's device during the game. It is never written to our database. It is erased when the teacher closes the game, or automatically within 3 hours of the game going idle. When a game ends we keep only a record for the teacher that the game took place: which game, when, and how many students joined.

The student's own browser remembers the name they typed and a random player ID, so they can rejoin if their tab closes. This stays on their device; clearing the browser's site data removes it. We do not collect student email addresses, phone numbers, photos, location or any other contact details, and we do not use cookies for students.

We recommend students use a first name or nickname, not their full name.

Children under 13, COPPA and FERPA

Zeyoa is designed to be used in classrooms under a teacher's direction. Where students are under 13, the school or teacher provides consent on behalf of parents for this limited, educational use, as permitted under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect only what is needed to play, use it only to run the game, and keep none of it afterwards. Any student information we handle on a school's behalf is used solely to provide the service to that school, consistent with FERPA. Parents may contact the school or us at [email protected] with any questions.

Teachers

When a teacher creates an account or buys a plan we collect:

We use this to run your account, process payments, send account emails (password resets, account-transfer links, receipts and invoices) and answer support requests. We do not send newsletters or marketing email unless you ask for them.

Cookies

We use one cookie, which keeps a teacher logged in. It is required for the site to work. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers that run Zeyoa for us, and only what each needs:

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs of requests (such as IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. We disclose information only if required by law.

If a teacher transfers their account to another teacher, the account's plan, invoices and game records move to the new teacher.

How long we keep data

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, password-reset and transfer links are single-use and expire, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.

Your choices

Teachers can view and update their details, or ask us to export or delete their account and its data, by emailing [email protected]. Schools and parents can contact us at the same address. We respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will email account holders before they take effect. We will never start collecting student information without updating this policy first.
